Dina Pizzarello

I am excited by the stretch of the flesh and the twitch of a jowl; the crook of an elbow and rise of a breast. Elegance and ugliness inspire me. A feeling or a short glimpse, a fraction of a thought, will lead me to a pose or composition. Form as revealed by light becomes revered. I paint stark images that focus on color and the shapes of light and shadows that build an image.
